Finally we take a look at Blizzard's recently published changes for their forthcoming expansion Wrath of the Lich King. Are Blizzard playing a dangerous game changing the fundamental philosophy of their huge franchise whilst Warhammer online knocks on the door?

With Britain basking in a heatwave this weekend I'm afraid you'll have to put up with a rather sun baked podcast! It seems the heat has addled our brains a little ;-)

Topics covered include what we've been up to in the last couple of weeks, guild issues in WoW are discussed.

The main discussion point for the show is 'What compels us to play videogames'. We consider various elements that draw us into games including the online social scene, showing off your gamer score, hype that surrounds game and isn't it odd that you'll go back to a game over and over...

Welcome to episode 3 of The Combobulater 'Season 2'

This week we welcome a third chair with JT contributing alongside your usual hosts Emeny & Burnsy.

We did have an aim for this show but I'll admit it got a little bit lost in Burnsy's discussion on 'what is a spoiler' and my own rant about Druids in the Arena (WoW!).

We also share our thoughts on what compels us to play videogames which is something we will pick up in our next show!

Welcome to the second show in Season Two of The Combobulater!

This episode we pick up on some of the points Burnsy made in his mini series 'Burnsy's Additives' as Emeny defends Wii Fit! We also look at some criticism that Wii Fit has come under recently, Nintendo under fire!!

We follow that up with a discussion comparing Doom 3 to Bioshock which takes a close look at in game narrative and discusses various techniques games use to pull the player along.

Finally we give our thoughts on a few movies we've seen recently, including the latest Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull!

Hey Everyone,

After over a year out of the podcasting world Emeny and Burnsy finally get a show under their belt in this comeback episode!

It's been a while and we've been plenty busy, join us as we catch up on what we've been up to in all this time. This is a casual show though so don't expect anything too deep though we do get into topics such as In game narrative, our warcraft adventures and our thoughts on GTA 4.

Unfortunately the opening few minutes of the show were sucked into a black void so it may sound a little disjointed.
